Yoga Heals Us Yoga Classes with Susanne MurthaINSTRUCTOR: Susanne Murtha, E-RYT500, Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Certified Pain Management Coach, Specializations for women in yoga and fitness, and advanced certifications from Integrative Yoga Therapy, Integrative Restoration (iRest) and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Yoga and Ayurveda.Recommended: Yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, 1 yoga strap (8 – 10ft), 1 blanket.  Sensitive knees may want a foam gardening knee pad as well. A comprehensive yoga program that includes yoga philosophy, breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures (asana), concentration and meditation techniques, and deep relaxation to integrate body, mind and spirit.  All classes focus on self-awareness through mindful breath and gentle, adaptive movement. INTRO TO ARNIS- FILIPINO STICK MARTIAL ARTGet an introduction to Filipino stick art of Arnis (meaning "armor") and some basic Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee's art). This 8-week class will cover: boxing techniques, footwork drills, empty hand drills and Arnis stick drills. This class will be high energy and you do not have to have any prior martial arts training. The rattan stick is included in the registration fee, but students must bring their own boxing gloves.

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is the study and recreation of medieval fighting systems from surviving books and manuscripts. This class will enable you to execute historical Longsword techniques with confidence and begin your journey within the historical fencing community. The first half of class is dedicated to learning and practicing new techniques, while the second half of class is for “open floor space.” Open floor space is an opportunity to make this experience your own! Solo or with a partner, practice techniques you have learned, delve deeper into source material with treatises and books, or fence with other class members and friends.  If you ever wanted to swing a sword, this inclusive HEMA class has something for everyone.  Loaner equipment is available. INTRO TO ARNIS- FILIPINO STICK MARTIAL ARTGet an introduction to Filipino stick art of Arnis (meaning "armor") and some basic Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee's art). This 8-week class will cover: boxing techniques, footwork drills, empty hand drills and Arnis stick drills. This class will be high energy and you do not have to have any prior martial arts training. The rattan stick is included in the registration fee, but students must bring their own boxing gloves.
