YOGAEach class is comprised of a unique yoga routine made up of classic yogic poses, asanas, that balance strengthening, stretching, and relaxation. The practice is designed to enhance mental and physical health through attentiveness and ease during activity and rest. No prior experience will be required as a number of options are always offered for each pose. The class is constructed to simultaneously appeal to wide range of experience levels, but with each student receiving tailored attention as needed. A yoga mat and clothing that provides free movement is suggested to enjoy the classes.

For beginning and continuing students. Tai Chi has been described as "a prescription to good health for men and women, whether you are old, weak or strong." Some benefits include improved balance, decreased tension and better breathing. Practicing this style of Tai Chi in a smooth and relaxed manner will help one to acquire a strong physique, a more relaxed body and a quieter mind.Instructor:  Alex CulliganPlease Note:  This program will now take place at the Gales Ferry Community Center, which is located at 18 Hurlbutt Road in Gales Ferry, adjacent to the Gales Ferry Library.
