Through the Tiny TAC Swim School at The VAT your child will learn to be safe in the water, learn to swim and grow to love the sport of swimming through our progressive teaching groups. We strive to assist all swimmers, regardless of age, meet the specified learning benchmarks of each group and we encourage proper stroke technique as soon as possible in a young swimmer’s development.
 
$90 per swimmer
Spring Saturday Session: April 5 – 26, 2025
Spring Sunday Session: April 6-May 4, 2025 (no class Easter Sunday (April 20))
 
Beginner: Introduction to buoyancy, balance and breath control with assistance
Saturdays: 1-1:30 pm
or
Sundays 1-1:30 pm
 
GOAL OF CLASS: Swim 15 ft. with eyes in the prone position with kicks at the surface and proper breath control. Back & Front Float with assistance.
 
Intermediate: Increasing front floats to kick 15 ft. with eyes comfortably in the prone position with kicks on the surface and proper breath control by
rolling to back to breath. Back & Front Float independently.
Saturdays 1:30-2pm
Or
Sundays 1:30 -2pm
 
GOAL OF CLASS: Swim 20 ft. with eyes in comfortably in the prone position with kicks on the surface and rolling to back for a breath independently. Introduction to freestyle; adding 4 strokes and breath to side.
 
Advanced: Able to perform arm strokes with breathing to side for 20 feet. Goal: Swim 25 yards freestyle; breathing to side independently using correct head/body position in the deep end of lap pool, streamline kicking on back independently.
 
Saturdays 2-2:30 pm
Or
Sundays 2-2:30 pm
 
GOAL OF CLASS: Rhythmic breathing for freestyle, backstroke arms, dolphin kick.
